A man who purchased 200 Land Rovers almost ten years ago has disclosed the amount he has been offered for one of them.

As most of us were squandering our extra cash on takeout meals and unnecessary trinkets, Charles Fawcett was applying both intelligence and effort to his financial decisions.

In 2015, he made the bold choice to purchase an astonishing 200 'last of the line' un-driven Land Rover Defenders, and there’s a strategic reason behind this seemingly crazy decision.

Fawcett is now potentially able to make some serious money should he sell even just one of his fleet.

In 2015, Charles Fawcett acquired 200 Land Rover Defenders from Twisted.

In 2015, Charles Fawcett acquired 200 Land Rover Defenders from Twisted.

Fawcett founded luxury automotive company Twisted in Yorkshire, UK, in 2000 and that was the year the company 'introduced its first Land Rover specific performance parts,' its site states.

By 2003, the first fully customized Twisted TD5 90 demo vehicle was developed, and by 2009, the company had begun producing a variety of bespoke vehicles for clients using Land Rover Defenders.

So, in 2015, Fawcett told Supercar Blondie he went to the Defender production line located in Solihull, England to pick up the 200 un-driven Defenders.

If you'd had the same idea and picked up one of the cars around 2015, it would have set you back somewhere around $42,000, but now?

Currently, there is a strong demand for the exclusive 200 vehicles that have been specially modified by Twisted, with reports indicating that buyers are ready to spend upwards of $268,000 for one of the 16 available models from the company.

Multiply that by 16 and we're looking at more than $3 million—so why didn’t anyone let the rest of us know to invest in Land Rovers back in 2015, huh?

Fawcett notes that all the vehicles were 'registered in 2016 after production ended, marking them as some of the final models produced and potentially making them more desirable to collectors.' Moreover, there are additional factors that have contributed to their increased value.

The vehicles are uniquely designed to meet the specific preferences of clients (Twisted).

The vehicles have fewer than 30 miles on the odometer, indicating they are essentially in like-new condition. Additionally, they are all built on the highest trim level offered by Land Rover at that time - the XS Spec.

Fawcett stated that the 16 available were 'carefully selected based on their chassis numbers and manufacturing dates'.

"They're unique, and when contorted, each piece stands alone. That's why this limited edition is referred to as One of One," he explained.

In addition to selecting between a petrol or diesel engine, you have the option to enhance the wheels, suspension, brakes, and tyres. Plus, there’s a choice of custom LED lighting available as well.

Sources indicate that individuals are prepared to invest hundreds of thousands of dollars (Twisted).

Fawcett declared, "Every one of the 16 will be Twisted, but the specifics will vary based on the customer's lifestyle and preferences."

"The unconventional approach isn't to dictate what their Defender ought to be; rather, it's about collaborating with them to develop a Defender that suits them perfectly."
