More than 340 young researchers from 49 nations gather for the 2025 Global Young Scientists Summit.

SINGAPORE - Media OutReach Newswire - 8 January 2025 - More than 340 young scientists[1] will have a rare chance to engage with leading experts in science and technology from around the world at the Global Young Scientists Summit (GYSS) 2025. The Summit has drawn participants from 49 countries, a 40 per cent increase from 2024[2], marking the highest number in the past five years and reflecting the GYSS's increasing global prominence.

The Summit is set to occur from January 6 to January 10, 2025, at the National University of Singapore (NUS). Since 2024, it has maintained a remarkable participant selection rate from Singapore, with 100 participants, making up approximately 27 percent of the total attendees. Additionally, 22 percent of participants are from Europe, while 17 percent are from Asia. The event will kick off with an opening ceremony on January 7, 2025, led by Mr. Heng Swee Keat, the Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the National Research Foundation, Singapore (NRF).
